We're Here, We're There, We're Everywhere!

So we have been traveling around the United States since May 2008! It all started when Chris decided to go to Lineman school and graduated at the top of his class in October 2007! From there he started working for a contracting power company building and working on 65-115 ft power poles, towers and substations!

Chris worked in the largest open copper mine in the world!

Chris first started building power lines through the hot and dusty copper mines in Globe/Miami Arizona for 3 months and then moved to the even hotter and warmer copper mines near Safford/Thatcher Arizona for another 3 months while Sarah worked as a waitress for a restaurant called Country Kitchen and went to school at Eastern Arizona College. However, it wasn't ALL bad, there are some beautiful views of the mountains and lakes where Chris works in the desert!

Traveling can be hard, especially when you're moving a lot. For the first month in Arizona, Chris and Sarah lived and slept in a motel room- talk about having a hard time having space and privacy! There were no apartments available so after a month of the hotel, Chris and Sarah were totally excited when Chris's uncle Richard was able to drive over a 33 ft Motor home from California for the two to live in. What a life saver!

The hottest weather we experienced while living/visiting the great state of Arizona was 119+...... but don't feel too bad for us. Chris makes great money, and the week after moving into the RV, Christopher bought Sarah a brand new 2008 BMW for her 23rd Birthday.

After getting all moved in and acquainted with their new home, Chris surprised Sarah again with adopting the most adorable little chihuahua puppy named "CJ."

Happy and excited 6 week old "CJ"

One week later, Sarah got in a terrible car accident when an 87 year old man crashed right into her on a busy highway. In consequence, their second car got totaled, causing Chris to buy himself his first-ever 2009 Yamaha R6S street bike!

Months went by and Chris and Sarah moved again, only this time to Sheridan, Wyoming (two exits away from the Montana border) where it got as low as -48 degrees.

As Christopher knows, working in extreme weather is difficult, especially digging 12 ft deep holes into the frozen ground, but he was never alone while he built and restored power lines. Everyday, working out in the hills and mountains, Christopher was surrounded by herds of deer, elk, antelope, wild turkeys and all other types of wildlife.

On November 28, 2008 Christopher and Sarah were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland California temple. Sarah received even greater peace, knowing that if anything did ever happen to Christopher while he was working that no matter what, they would always be a couple, bound by love, bound for eternity. What an amazing day for the entire family!

We hope that when we're old and grey we'll be able to
look back at our lives and move on to an even brighter future!

Christopher's side of the family!

Sarah's side of the family!

Coming home from the warm California weather to Wyoming was a little saddening as disaster struck the couple's motor home a week later. The cold weather had frozen their pipes and water flooded their floors. After months of the snow and freezing weather, the two were excited to be moving again and were on the open road. This time, to the warm, windy, sandy land of Vado New Mexico. Temperatures ranging from 32-75 degrees.

Vado is a tiny town outside of the busy El Paso Texas area, population 736,310!

After spending 3 weeks near the New Mexico and Texas border, Christopher and Sarah are now moving to Greensburg, KS land of destruction! Chris is bringing power back to the town after 6-9 tornados strike!

We're here, we're there, we're everywhere! We've lived and experienced all the extreme weather! From the dripping heat of Arizona, blizzarding cold of Wyoming, the sandy winds of New Mexico and Texas, to the tornado destruction of Kansas!
